LaKindra Beale is a registered nurse currently employed at a Family Maternity Center in Hampton, VA providing care for patients in labor and delivery, postpartum, as well as in the special care nursery. She has been a nurse since 2007. Along with obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, she is certified in Maternal Newborn Nursing and Childbirth Education and is working towards a certification as a lactation consultant through the IBCLC.
Her passion for Women's Health stemmed from her own experiences as a young, soon-to-be mother lacking a proper understanding of what to expect throughout her pregnancy, labor, and birth. This inspired her to ensure that every pregnant woman she assists has knowledge regarding the physiological changes of pregnancy and understands the choices available to her during labor and delivery. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and working on unfinished home improvement projects.
Franciska Garland is a registered nurse currently employed at a Family Maternity Center in Hampton, VA, providing care for patients in labor and delivery, postpartum, and special care nursery. She has been a nurse since 1997, graduating as a Midwife and RN in the Republic of South Africa.
After practicing midwifery in numerous international countries ( Saudi Arabia and South Africa), she immigrated to the USA in 2007. In addition to her nursing credentials obtained in South Africa, She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from United States University and is pursuing her doctorate in Healthcare Leadership. She is certified in electronic fetal monitoring and is working towards a certification as a Childbirth educator through the ICEA.
Her passion for Women's Health stemmed from growing up in an underserved community, lacking the necessary resources and services to provide cultural competent care.
In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and traveling.
Jada Reantaso has been a registered nurse for 5 years. She received her Associate’s Degree from Tidewater Community College and a Bachelor’s from Old Dominion University. Jada worked as a cardiac nurse for the first 2 years of her nursing career, where she learned so much about what it takes to be a nurse. She then moved on to work with her dream patient population as a mother/baby nurse.
Currently, Jada works on an L.D.R.P unit where she is cross trained in labor and delivery, postpartum, and nursery care. Jada absolutely loves her unit, working with women and infants during this new journey in their life but has often found that her services are limited to a very short span. She is passionate about perinatal education and helping pregnant women, as well as their families, along through such a major life transition. Jada is also a certified personal trainer with interest in perinatal fitness so that clients can understand the benefits of a healthy exercise regimen prior to, during, and after pregnancy.
